The annual Canandaigua Masters Swim Meet will be held on Sunday, February 19th.
Binghamton University Masters will hold a meet on Sunday, March 25th.

Allegheny Mountain LMSC passed along a notice that they will be holding a SCY meet on Saturday, March 17th near Pittsburgh, PA. Meet information is available at this link.
USMS recently announced that the 2013 Pan American Masters Championships will be held in the U.S. for the first time ever. Sarasota YMCA will host the event at the Selby Aquatic Center. Pool events will occur between June 5-8th and Open Water will be on June 10th. Up to 2,000 swimmers are expected in attendance. Meet information will be posted when it becomes available. The Ithaca meet results are up and record breaking performances have been identified. Click here for more information. This was the largest showing in recent memory for a local Niagara meet. If anyone took pictures at the meet and is willing to share, please contact the webmaster.
On another note, the Long Course Meters Top Ten for 2011 was officially published last Friday. With no local LCM meets, Niagara only had two members make the Top Ten listing, which can be seen here: USMS Top Ten - Niagara.

Meet results are available for the annual Stacy Moor Memorial meet hosted by the RAMS at RIT. They are located in the Results section of the site, or you can click here to go directly to the page and see any LMSC records that were broken. The results have also been uploaded to the USMS Event Results Database.

The Nazareth College SCM meet results have been posted to our Results area and uploaded to USMS. A review of results shows that 12 Niagara records were broken. Congrats! The records will be updated when the SCM season is complete.
You can track your national ranking in an event throughout the year by accessing the USMS Meet Results Database Rankings. Rankings are not official until the completion of the season and the final Top Ten list is issued by USMS. That brings us to the final Top Ten lists for the SCY 2011 season...
The annual USMS Convention wrapped up in Florida last weekend. A new promotional video was released:
Several new officers were appointed to the Board of Directors. Most notably, Nadine Day succeeds Jeff Moxie as the President. Nadine was previously the VP of Community Services, which will now be filled by Jody Smith.

The Swimming Saves Lives Foundation was one highlight of the Convention. The program uses USMS resources to teach children and adults how to swim. This aims to prevent drowning and promote the lifelong benefits of swimming. We encourage our members to contribute.
The National meets next year are in Greensboro, NC (SCY April 26-29) and Omaha, NE (LCM July 5-8). Complete meet information has not yet been released, but some details are available at usms.org. The meets will be added to our calendar as more info comes out.
So far, there are no bids for 2011 SCM Zone Championships, which are typically hosted in December. Ithaca College has a brand new facility and continues to host their December meet, so we should have good attendance at that competition.
