Stefanena Kysor is the recipient of the 2018 Skehan Award, recognizing her lifetime of accomplishments. Stefanena is the first woman in the history of Niagara LMSC to compete in the 90-94 year old age group, as she recently turned 90. Additionally, she has logged 74 USMS Top Ten achievements from 1984 through 2018. She has over 40 records in Niagara, spanning seven age groups and all three courses: short course yards, short course meters, and long course meters. On the dry side, she volunteered on the Niagara Board of Directors as Secretary from 1992-1993 and as Fitness Chair from 1992-1994. Congratulations Stefanena!

The Niagara Local Masters Swim Committee (LMSC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to a healthy swimming lifestyle for adult swimmers, within the Western NY region. The Niagara LMSC is the local governing body of U.S. Masters Swimming (USMS).

There are over 600 registered Masters Swimmers in Niagara and over 60,000 in USMS. Anyone 18 years of age or older is eligible to join. No prior competitive swimming experience is necessary.
